DESCRIPTION
RaceTrac Petroleum Inc has applied for a Level 2 for construction of RaceTrac Frostproof (Development), a new project located on the northwest corner of the intersection of US Hwy 27 and Hwy 98 consisting of a proposed 3,500 sq. ft. convenience store & gas station with 16 fueling spaces. The Development is located within the City of Frostproof’s (City) potable water utility service area but is located closer to existing Polk County Utilities (PCU) infrastructure. The developer has requested the City allow PCU to provide potable and wastewater service to the Development. The City Council has granted the request and approved the Interlocal Agreement regarding RaceTrac Frostproof.
RECOMMENDATION
County staff recommends approval of the attached Interlocal Agreement regarding RaceTrac Frostproof granting Polk County Utilities authorization to provide potable water and wastewater service to RaceTrac Frostproof.
