DESCRIPTION
Polk County recorded a Claim of Lien for an Affordable Housing Impact Fee Waiver in 2021 imposing a lien against property owned by Lakeland Habitat for Humanity, Inc., and occupied by Norma Castellanos, located in Polk County. The property is being conveyed to Norma Castellanos, and as part of such transaction, the lender, Lakeland Habitat for Humanity, Inc., has requested that the County’s lien be subordinated to the new first mortgage that will be placed on the property as a result of the conveyance. A Subordination Agreement will be executed by the County to memorialize the lien subordination.
RECOMMENDATION
Authorize the Chairman to execute the Subordination Agreement which will subordinate the County’s lien to the new first mortgage.
