DESCRIPTION

This is a County-initiated to modify Chapter 4 regarding Indian Lakes Estates (ILE). ILE is located east of Lake Walk in the Water, south of SR 60 and north of CR 630 between Lake Walk in the Water and the intersection of SR 60 and CR 630. On June 3, 2026, the Planning Commission voted 7:0 to recommend approval of the amendment.

Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan.  Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted.  This is the first of the two hearings.
