DESCRIPTION
The Roads and Drainage Division requested Procurement to solicit bids from qualified contractors who were interested in the construction of a new 40 foot geosynthetic reinforced soil integrated bridge system on Rock Ridge Rd in Lakeland. The project primarily consists of bridge construction, roadway construction, erosion control, clearing and grubbing, excavating, stabilization, constructing retaining walls, and maintenance of traffic.
Bid 26-003, Rock Ridge Rd Bridge Replacement was issued, and seven contractors submitted a bid.

A recommendation of award was issued to Timmons Contracting Inc., and no protests were received. In accordance with Resolution No. 13-066, $106,164.00 was added to the contract for allowance work for a total contract amount of $2,229,446.00. The contract time for this project is 180 days to final completion. Allowance time for the project is 27 days.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve a construction contract with Timmons Contracting Inc. in the amount of $2,229,446.00 for Bid 26-003, Rock Ridge Rd Bridge Replacement.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funding is available in the Transportation Trust Fund.
