DESCRIPTION
This CSA will provide professional engineering services to perform roadway design, utility coordination, geotechnical investigation, subsurface utility engineering (SUE) and for construction plans for intersection improvements, including an interim signalization solution to Kathleen Road at West Campbell Road Intersection. This intersection currently meets signalization warrants. It is characterized as an interim signal since a new signal would be installed upon the future widening of Kathleen Road along this segment.
The Kathleen Road at West Campbell Road Intersection Improvements Project is included in the FY 2025-2026 CIP for the Roads & Drainage Division. County staff has negotiated a CSA with the Consultant to provide professional engineering services for this Project. The Consultant is to perform these services at a total not-to-exceed fee of $273,004.60 and will be completed as detailed in “Exhibit A”.
RECOMMENDATION
Request the Board approve CSA No. 22-089-05 with the Consultant at a not-to-exceed fee of $273,004.60 for the Kathleen Road at West Campbell Road Intersection Improvement Project.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are budgeted and available in the Transportation Trust Fund. During the FY26/27 CIP budget process, the project will be adjusted to fully fund the total project cost to include all related construction.
