SET HEARING: (LDCT-2024-27 SR 60 & Boy Scout Road RCC Activity Center Plan (ACP) Text Amendment) to change the text of the Land Development Code Appendix E, Section E105. This case is related to LDCPAS-2024-25. The first reading for LDCT-2024-27 was originally set for January 7, 2025, and the second reading for January 21, 2025. The applicant has requested a continuance for both hearings. On January 7, 2025, the BoCC continued the first reading for this case to February 4, 2025. The suggested hearing date is February 18, 2025, for the second reading.

DESCRIPTION
This is a joint (staff and applicant-initiated) request to change to the Land Development Code Appendix E, Section E105, to establish the SR 60 & Boy Scout Road Activity Center Plan (ACP) at the SR 60 & Boy Scout Road intersection. State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on December 4, 2024, with a recommendation of approval by a 5:2 vote.
Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board to RESET the second reading to February 18, 2025, at 9:15 a.m.
