DESCRIPTION
The Parks and Natural Resources Division requested Procurement to solicit bids from qualified contractors who were interested in performing all labor, materials, supervision, equipment, and permitting necessary to perform all operations required to complete the Simmers-Young Park water quality improvement project. The project is designed to reduce nutrients leaving the existing pond and therefore improve the water quality of Lena Run a 7.3-mile freshwater stream originating at Lake Lena and ultimately discharging to Lake Hancock.
Bid 24-463, Simmers-Young Park Water Quality Improvement Project was issued, and 3 contractors submitted a bid.

A recommendation of award was issued to Enviro-Tech Systems, Inc. and no protests were received. In accordance with Resolution No. 13-066, $125,175.32 was added to the contract for allowance work for a total contract amount of $2,628,681.66. The contract time for this project is 245 days for final completion. Allowance time for the project is 36 days.
This project is fully funded through the American Rescue Plan through the United States Department of Treasury.
