DESCRIPTION
This is a County-initiated request for a LDC text amendment to Chapter 3, Section 303 to amend Criteria for Conditional Uses to change Code Enforcement as responsible for inspecting mine sites to the Land Development Division. State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which will be held on February 7, 2024, with a recommendation of approval.
Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board set the first reading on March 5, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. and the Adoption reading on March 19, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
