Designate the County Attorney as the designee of the Polk County Board of County Commissioners for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice Circuit 10 Advisory Board.

DESCRIPTION

Section 985.664, Fla. Stat. requires the establishment of a Juvenile Justice Circuit Advisory Board (CAB) in each judicial circuit. The CAB works with the circuit chief probation officer to use data to inform policy and practice, which improves the juvenile justice continuum. The statute requires a commissioner or his or her designee from each county in the circuit to be included on the CAB. 

 

 

RECOMMENDATION

Designate the County Attorney as the designee of the Polk County Board of County Commissioners for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice Circuit 10 Advisory Board.
