DESCRIPTION
The Facilities Management Division requested Procurement to solicit bids from qualified contractors who were interested in the construction of a new Sheriff's District Station at 9530 Marigold Avenue, Poinciana, FL. This project will consist of a 21,561 square foot building to contain community room, office spaces, interview rooms, holding cells, sallyport, and fleet maintenance. Due to suburban population sprawl, local builders expect to build 15,000+ plus homes in the short term. Currently, it takes citizens in Poinciana up to 45 minutes to drive to the nearest law enforcement district station establishing the high need for a facility in this area.
Bid 24-133, Polk County Sheriff's Office Ridge District Station at Poinciana was issued, and five contractors submitted a bid.

This project is partially funded through the American Rescue Plan through the United States Department of Treasury.
