SUBJECT

title

Approval of a CIP amendment to establish Fuel Site Technology upgrade project in the FY 24/25 CIP and a budget transfer from the Fleet Maintenance Reserves - Service Improvements ($168,500 one-time transfer)

body

DESCRIPTION

Fleet Management operates 12 fuel sites with 13 FuelMaster dispensing units, the current technology of these units was rapidly becoming obsolete, and the quality of information was degrading.  This project replaced existing technology with the FMLive product which is cellular based and removed the fuel sites from the county network, alleviating possible network-related security issues and related outages.

This project was originally established through a CIP amendment in FY 23/24 on May 7, 2024. Fleet anticipated the completion of this project in FY 23/24.  However, the project was delayed, waiting to receive the hardware and the implementation of SOC-2 protocols, all the associated spending occurred during FY 24/25, so the project and budget must be established in the FY 24/25 CIP budget.

RECOMMENDATION

Request approval of a CIP Budget Amendment to add Fuel Site Technology upgrade project to the FY 24/25 adopted CIP and a transfer from Fleet Maintenance Reserves - Service Improvements in the amount of $168,500.

FISCAL IMPACT

Funds are available for transfer within FY 24/25 Fleet Maintenance Reserves - Service Improvements.
