DESCRIPTION

This is a County initiated request amending Chapter 3 Conditional Uses, Section 303, Criteria for Conditional Uses, Individual Mobile Homes, to allow mobile homes by right in subdivision plats recorded prior to May 20, 1971. State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which will be held on April 2, 2025.

 

Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted.

 

RECOMMENDATION

Request Board set for the first reading on April 15, 2025, at 9:15 a.m., and the second reading on May 6, 2025, at 9:15 a.m.
