DESCRIPTION
Pursuant to Polk County Ordinance No. 13-069, the Polk County Board of County Commissioners must adopt a final assessment resolution each year establishing the assessment rate for the Residential Waste Program Services assessment to be imposed for the upcoming Fiscal Year against each parcel of Residential Property, as defined in the Ordinance, subject to the Residential Waste Program Services Assessment. The Residential Waste Program Services Assessment Area includes the unincorporated area of Polk County and the incorporated areas of the Village of Highland Park and the Town of Hillcrest Heights. The recommended rates for FY 26-27 are $299.18 for collection, $67.62 for disposal of first garbage cart, and a lease fee for a Second Garbage Roll Cart of $67.00. Attached hereto is the proposed Residential Waste Program Services Final Assessment Resolution for Fiscal Year 2026-27.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt the attached proposed Residential Waste Program Services Final Assessment Resolution for Fiscal Year 2026-27.
FISCAL IMPACT
The estimated Residential Waste Program Services Cost to be assessed for the Fiscal Year Commencing October 1, 2026 is $46,668,235.00.
