Accept Quit Claim Deeds for properties being donated for conservation preservation, Rose and Putnam Parcels. (No fiscal impact)

DESCRIPTION
The County’s Land Donation Program allows property owners to donate property to the County for which there is a need or use by the County. The owners of certain parcels of land within Polk County contacted county staff and offered to donate the properties to the County. County staff reviewed the parcels and determined that there is a use for the properties as they are both located within a recognized State Conservation area known as the Green Swamp Florida Forever Board of Trustees Project Area. The subject properties are vacant parcels with very little market value and limited to no access.
Accepting the following instruments will allow the County to take ownership of the subject properties being donated to be utilized for conservation preservation:
1. Quit Claim Deed from Terry Rose for the conveyance of Parcel ID Number 262628-000000-013300. The property is vacant, rectangular-shaped parcel containing approximately 1-acre, lying in Section 28, Township 26 South, Range 26 East.
2. Quit Claim Deed from Jennifer M. Putnam and Gregory M. Putnam for the conveyance of Parcel ID Number 262630-000000-011300. The property is vacant, rectangular-shaped parcel containing approximately 1-acre, lying in Section 30, Township 26 South, Range 26 East.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board accept and approve for recording the afore-mentioned Quit Claim Deeds for the conveyance of the properties for conservation preservation purposes.
