Approve and Authorize the Chair to Execute Letter of Agreement to the Attorney General for Heartland Crime Stoppers

DESCRIPTION
Heartland Crime Stoppers currently serves as Polk County’s agent for the purpose of applying for, receiving, and expending grants from the Crime Stoppers Trust Fund pursuant to Fla. Stat. 16.555 (5)(b) and F. A. C. 2A-9.002. The current authorization expires on June 30, 2026. This renewed Letter of Agreement to the Florida Attorney General will extend Polk County’s authorization for Heartland Crime Stoppers to serve as its agent for an additional three (3) year period beginning July 1, 2026 - and ending on June 30, 2029.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the Letter of Agreement and authorize the Chair to execute same.
