DESCRIPTION
This is a County-initiated request to add a section to Chapter 9 regarding Agricultural Enclaves; amending Chapter 10 to add a definition for Agricultural Enclave. On November 4, 2026, the Planning Commission will vote to recommend either approval/denial of the amendment.
Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board set hearing for the first reading on December 1, 2026, at 9:15 a.m. and the second reading on December 15, 2026, at 9:15 a.m.
