DESCRIPTION
This request is to accept a two-year warranty and surety in the amount of $1,918.20 in the form of Maintenance Bond No. 0842662, which represents 10% of the cost of the publicly dedicated infrastructure for Spirit Landings Storm and Drainage. The extended warranty period will permit the County to review results of possible substandard construction material used for this project. The storm and drainage materials were found to be in question upon inspection, and normal testing was insufficient to assure structural integrity of the storm and drainage materials. Since it was found to be impractical to remove and replace them, Polk County will monitor the resilience and performance of the material during this extended warranty period. This two-year warranty period begins with the Board’s acceptance on November 21, 2023 and ends on November 21, 2025.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board accept a two-year warranty expiring on November 21, 2025 and a Maintenance Bond in the amount of $1,918.20 for Spirit Landings Storm and Drainage
