DESCRIPTION
On December 26, 2018, the Board Approved Agreement 18-73 with Dewberry Engineers, Inc. to provide professional engineering services in connection with the CR 557 widening project. The services included developing and evaluating alternative roadway designs and alignments resulting in the recommendation of a preferred alignment, and preparing preliminary roadway plans for the widening in the amount $1,100,893.47.
Amendment No. 1 was approved by the board September 1, 2020, for final design, permitting, bidding support, and community awareness services from W. Alfred Street to south of Interstate 4 in the amount of $3,040,982.53.
On December 6, 2022, the Board approved Amendment No. 2 in the amount of $693,396.38 to further extend the limits of the CR 557 widening project to the south from W. Alfred Street to US 92. Services included developing and evaluating alternative roadway design and alignments, recommending a preferred alignment, and preparing preliminary and final roadway plans for the widening of CR 557 from W. Alfred Street to US 92. Amendment No. 2 also extended the project schedule out to an anticipated completion date of December 31, 2027, which included post-design services that Dewberry will provide during the construction phase.
On August 23, 2023, the Board approved Amendment No. 3 in the amount of $429,107.94 to provide for additional services to include: design of a surcharge program, additional lighting along the length of the project and design modification of the Lake Alfred Road roundabout for a developer to construct separately via a separate infrastructure agreement.
