DESCRIPTION
On September 16, 2025, the Board approved the selection committee’s recommendation and authorized staff to negotiate an agreement with Cynet Health for Request for Proposal (RFP) 25-482, Recruitment Services for Mental Health Provider Positions.
Cynet Health will provide recruitment services for mental health provider positions which consist of job candidate sourcing, recruitment, screening, and placement services for Community Mental Health Agencies (CMHA) who partner with Polk County to provide mental health care services for residents with opioid use disorder and substance abuse. CMHA’s are experiencing difficulties with recruiting certain mental health positions including, but not limited to physicians, psychiatric - mental health advanced practice registered nurses, psychiatric physician assistants, RN’s, LPN’s, licensed therapists, and inpatient behavioral health technicians.
The Florida Opioid Allocation and Statewide Response agreement between the State of Florida Department of Legal Affairs, office of the Attorney General and Polk County allows for opioid funding to be used in forward-looking strategies, programming and services used to expand the availability of treatment for individuals impacted by substance use disorders.
The term of the agreement is for a five-year term.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve agreement with Cynet Health, Inc. to provide recruitment services of mental health provider positions for community mental health agencies.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the Opioid Abatement Settlement Fund.
