Approve recommended changes to the functional classification of select Polk County roads: Carefree Cove, Carefree Cove Drive, Lake Ring Drive, N Lake Eloise Drive, Suwannee Road and various roads in the Inwood Area - see attached. (No Fiscal Impact)

DESCRIPTION
The Functional Classification Committee is comprised of representatives from the following Department and Divisions: Office of Planning and Development (OPD), Polk Transportation Planning Organization (TPO), Roads and Drainage, and Land Development. The purpose of the Committee is to review the existing functional classification of Polk County roads, per the “County Road Functional Classification” criteria adopted by the Board on August 5, 1997. The Committee makes recommendations regarding the reclassification of roads as necessary and appropriate.
The Committee has reviewed these roads and made the following reclassification recommendations:
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve the County Road Functional Classification requests as outlined above and attached.
