DESCRIPTION
This is an applicant-initiated request for a LDC Text amendment to amend Appendix E, Section E105, to limit the intensity of the proposed Leisure/Recreation (L/R) activity on the site that is part of LDCPAS-2023-34. State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on April 3, 2024, with a recommendation of approval.
Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board set the first reading on May 21, 2024, at 9:30 a.m., and the second reading on June 4, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
