DESCRIPTION
Roads and Drainage requested Procurement to solicit proposals for the purpose of disaster debris clean-up and other related services resulting from, but not limited to, catastrophic events such as tornadoes and hurricanes. Services include but are not limited to collecting and removing debris from the public rights-of-way, roads, both public and private as directed by the County; demolition and removal of condemned structures and buildings that pose a threat to public safety and resulting from the disaster event; processing debris including sorting, grinding, mulching, and burning; and disposing of debris at designated sites within Polk County; establishing and operating temporary debris staging and processing sites; collecting and disposing of hazardous waste, biohazardous waste and dead animals.
Request for Proposal (RFP) 26-011, Disaster Debris Removal Services was issued and thirteen vendors submitted proposals. On April 21, 2026, the Board authorized staff to enter into contract negotiations with proposers, starting with the highest-ranked proposer CrowderGulf Joint Venture, Inc. as the primary, AshBritt, Inc. as the secondary and Looks Great Services of MS, Inc. as the tertiary.
AshBritt, Inc. declined the opportunity to enter into a secondary agreement. As a result, Looks Great Services of MS, Inc. will be designated as the secondary.
These agreements will be in place for 5 years.

Request Board approve agreements with CrowderGulf Joint Venture, Inc. as the primary and Looks Great Services of MS, Inc. as the secondary regarding RFP 26-011, Disaster Debris Removal Services.
