DESCRIPTION
This is an applicant-initiated Comprehensive Plan Amendment to change the Future Land Use Map development area designation from Rural Development Area (RDA) to Suburban Development Area (SDA), Future Land Use designation from Phosphate Mining (PM), Agriculture/Residential-Rural (A/RR), Industrial (IND), and Leisure/Recreation (L/R) to Rural Cluster Center (RCC), Residential-Suburban (RS), and Industrial (IND), and amend Section 2.135 of the Comprehensive Plan to provide for the establishment of the Mims Crossing RCC Activity Center Plan, and the establishment of a 200-ft. wide buffer areas within the proposed RS district adjacent to the proposed IND district. This case is related to LDCT-2025-15, an LDC text amendment for the same property. The site is located north and south of County Road 640, primarily west of State Road 37 and east of Anderson Road, and south of the City of Mulberry in Sections 10,14,15,16,21,22,23,24,26 & 28, Township 30, Range 23.
