DESCRIPTION

Main Street Bartow (“Main Street”) is a local non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, economic stability and improvement of the City of Bartow’s downtown area. It is funded by Bartow’s Community Redevelopment Agency, The City of Bartow, and through local business and resident investment. In 2020 The Board approved Lease Number 307 with Main Street for the use of 1,200 square feet of office space in the County-owned building located at 180 South Central Avenue in Bartow for its administrative and clerical functions.  The current lease has a term which ends October 31, 2025 and includes the option of 2 five-years renewal terms.  Main Street has requested to exercise its first renewal option and has executed a First Amendment to Lease No. 307 which extends the term through October 31, 2030, with all other terms, conditions and provisions remaining the same as under the initial lease. Approving the aforementioned First Amendment will allow Main Street to continue to occupy the building and provide its services to the downtown Bartow area.

RECOMMENDATION

Request Board approve the aforementioned First Amendment to Lease No. 307.
