DESCRIPTION
The new Polk County fire training facility is currently under construction with Whitehead Construction and is anticipated to be completed by March of 2026. The project is now at the stage where the audio visual equipment may be installed. Fire Rescue has requested Procurement to piggyback an agreement with AVI-SPL LLC to provide, install, integrate and maintain the audio visual equipment that will be utilized for meetings, presentations, and trainings as the equipment is typically done as a separate agreement.
The County belongs to the OMNIA Cooperative, which has enabled us to piggyback the agreements that were solicited on behalf of the cooperative. OMNIA solicited Request for Proposal (#R201201), resulting in an agreement with AVI-SPL LLC for audio visual equipment, accessories, and services. There are no local vendors that provide these services.
The attached agreement with AVI-SPL is for the purchase of equipment, integration services, and maintenance services as follows:
• Equipment- $279,341.18 (one-time cost)
• Installation/Integration and Maintenance Services- $180,647.83 (one-time cost)
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve cooperative agreement with AVI-SPL LLC to provide audio visual equipment, accessories, and services for the Polk County fire training facility in the amount of $459,989.01.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funding is available for these services within the Fire Rescue operating budget.
