DESCRIPTION
Polk County Tourism and Sports Marketing (PCTSM) recruits state, regional, national, international, & local organizations, partnering and managing special events to enhance the economic climate of Polk County. The attached Interlocal Agreement is PCTSM donating equipment to the City of Winter Haven to use at their facilities. This equipment will help PCTSM continue to recruit high-level events to Polk County and continue to generate more than $40 million of economic impact from events held at facilities in the City of Winter Haven. The items being donated will include ten Mini L Screens & Ricochet Cushion Kits, two Big Bubba Elite Batting Cages, ten Home Plate Mats, four Ultra Lite Field Covers, four True Pitch Softball Mats, four True Pitch Baseball Mounds and temporary fencing for a total of $124,666.71 being donated.
RECOMMENDATION
Request for the Board to approve the Interlocal Agreement with the City of Winter Haven.
