SET HEARING: (LDCPAL-2024-12 North Prong Industrial CPA) to consider the adoption of a Large-Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment to change the Future Land Use designation on 420+/- acres from Phosphate Mining (PM) & Agricultural/Residential-Rural (A/RR) to Industrial (IND) in the Rural Development Area (RDA) and change the text of Section 2.135 of the Comprehensive Plan to limit the intensity of the IND activity on certain areas of the site. This case is related to LDCT-2024-19. The suggested transmittal date is December 17, 2024, at 9:15 a.m. and the adoption hearing date is February 18, 2025, at 9:15 a.m.

DESCRIPTION
This is an applicant-initiated request for property located north and west sides of Nichols Road, south of State Road (SR) 60, east of County Line Road, south of the City of Mulberry, in Sections 6, 7 & 8, Township 30, Range 23. State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on November 6, 2024, with a recommendation of approval by a 7:0 vote.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board set the transmittal hearing date for December 17, 2024, at 9:15 a.m. and the adoption hearing date for February 18, 2025, at 9:15 a.m.
