DESCRIPTION
The County has received the following request to adopt a resolution vacating, abandoning, discontinuing, closing, renouncing, and disclaiming any rights of the County or the public in certain platted and unmaintained right-of-way within Polk County. Florida Statutes, Section 336.10, requires the Commissioners hold a public hearing to consider Petitions adopting resolutions vacating, abandoning, discontinuing, closing, renouncing, and disclaiming property under their control. Setting a public hearing date will comply with Florida Statutes and allow the request to be considered.
Request Board set a public hearing date for the following request to vacate platted and unmaintained right-of-way. Suggested Hearing Date: Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., or immediately following the regular agenda:
1. Consider a petition by Harold J. Myers, as Manager of Arizona Holding III, LLC and Arizona Holding IV, LLC to adopt a resolution vacating unnamed, platted and unmaintained right-of-way lying between Block 3 and Block 4 as shown on the map of Cruse and Horney’s First Addition to Lake Bonny Park as recorded in Plat Book 8, at Page 45, Public Records of Polk County, Florida. The subject right-of-way lies in Section 16, Township 28 South, Range 24 East.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board set a Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., or immediately following the regular agenda, to consider the preceding item.
