body

DESCRIPTION

This is a County-initiated LDC Text Amendment request to Chapter 2, Section 214, to add standards for stand-alone vending machines and automated teller machines; and Chapter 10, Definitions, to add definitions. State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on May 6, 2026, with a recommendation for approval by a 5:0 vote.

Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan.  Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted. This is the first of the two hearings.
