DESCRIPTION
The Cherry Hill Direct Potable Reuse (DPR) Water Treatment Facility uses new technology which can treat reclaimed water to meet or exceed potable drinking water standards. The DPR facility will augment the water supply in the northwest region to meet future water demands in the area. This facility recently completed a pilot program to demonstrate the proof of concept. After the successful conclusion of the pilot, the Utilities Division would like to proceed with the full implementation of this technology on a large scale and integrate it into the larger water network for the northwest region.
Request for Proposal (RFP) 26-291, Engineering Services for the Cherry Hill Direct Potable Reuse Water Treatment Facility was issued, and three vendors submitted proposals. Jones Edmunds & Associates was one of the vendors elevated to interviews yet after the scoring meeting, they withdrew their Proposal.
On August 25, 2026, the selection committee received presentations from the two remaining proposers. After the interviews, the consensus of the selection committee was to request the Board authorize staff to enter negotiations with both proposers, beginning with the highest ranked proposer, Carollo Engineers, Inc.
