DESCRIPTION
The Real Estate Services Division requested Procurement solicit proposals from qualified consultants to provide acquisition services for the following drainage projects:
Group A
• Armstrong Road/S. Pipkin Road/Old Medulla Road
• Creekwater Drive
• Carefree Cove
Group B
• Hamilton Road
• Medulla Road
Request for Proposal (RFP) 24-217, Acquisition Services-Drainage Projects was issued, and two vendors submitted proposals. On May 7, 2024, the Board approved the selection committee’s recommendation and authorized staff to enter into negotiations with American Acquisition Group for Group A and Florida Acquisition & Appraisal, Inc. for Group B.
A recommendation of award was posted, and no protests were received.
The recommendation of award for Florida Acquisition & Appraisal, Inc. for Group B was cancelled due to the construction costs being greater than anticipated.
American Acquisition Group will assist with negotiations for property and easement acquisitions along with appraisal services.
The term of this agreement with American Acquisition Group, LLC is for twelve months.
These services are fully funded through the American Rescue Plan Act.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve the agreement with American Acquisition Group to perform acquisition services for drainage projects ($120,000.00 one-time expense).
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the total amount of $120,000.00, for these projects through the American Rescue Plan Act Fund (Armstrong Road/South Pipkin Road/Old Medulla Road, Creekwater Drive, and Carefree Cove drainage projects).
