body
DESCRIPTION
The Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC) will consist of 15 members to meet twice a month for approximately six months to review and provide input into the draft policies for the ongoing Comprehensive Plan update. The CPAC will play a vital role in providing an independent and external perspective on the County’s Comprehensive Plan policies to ensure that such policies align with the best interest of County residents, the public, and the County Commission’s vision for growth and land development through the year 2050. The CPAC is anticipated to convene for a six-month period following commencement of the first meeting, or through December 31, 2025. The CPAC will automatically terminate, through no further action of the Board, upon the Board’s adoption of the updated Polk County Comprehensive Plan, contemplated to occur in early to mid-2026.
