DESCRIPTION

This is an applicant-initiated request for an LDC Text amendment to Appendix E, Section E105.E CPA 16C-02, Subsection 3 to add additional defined area to the boundaries depicted for Construction Aggregate, Processing and Storage. State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on January 3, 2024. where the Planning Commission recommended approval (Vote:4-2). If approved, the applicant will be required to apply for a Conditional Use approval for the use.

 

Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted. This is the second of the two hearings.
