Approve the Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement between Polk County and the State of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the construction of Crystal Avenue and Orange Avenue Project. (no fiscal impact)

DESCRIPTION
At its February 6, 2024 Regular Meeting, the Board approved a similar LAP agreement for this project and adopted Resolution 2024-014 evidencing its approval. However, due to FDOT rolling its funding for the project from State Fiscal Year 2024 to Fiscal Year 2025, FDOT did not execute the agreement which the Board approved. Consequently, the FDOT has requested the Board approve an updated form of the project agreement and provide another supporting resolution. The only changes to the agreement from the prior approved form is a change to two key contract dates. In the present agreement, the project construction contract must be let by June 30, 2025, and project construction completed by December 31, 2026.
RECOMMENDATION
Request the Board approve and execute the LAP Agreement with FDOT for the Crystal Avenue and Orange Avenue Project.
