Accept Quit Claim Deed from AV Homes, Inc., f/k/a Avatar Properties Inc. for property located in the Poinciana area. (No fiscal impact)

DESCRIPTION
The County was contacted by a representative of AV Homes, Inc. f/k/a Avatar Properties, Inc. regarding a parcel of land, identified as Parcel ID Number 282815-935360-000007, owned by it and offered to convey the parcel to the County. The parcel is a strip of land, measuring approximately 140-feet wide and approximately 1.4 miles long. The parcel is comprised of Tracts AA and BB shown on plat of Poinciana Neighborhood 6 Village 7 which appear to have been intended for an extension of a public roadway known as Bayberry Street. After a review of the parcel it was determined that the parcel could potentially be utilized by the County for transportation, drainage or utility improvements or for other purposes in conjunction with future development in the area. The owner has executed and delivered a Quit Claim to the County for the parcel. Accepting the Quit Claim Deed will give the County ownership of the parcel for its future use in the area.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board accept the aforementioned Quit Claim Deed.
