DESCRIPTION
This is an applicant-initiated Comprehensive Plan Amendment to change the Future Land Use Map designation from Phosphate Mining (PM) to Industrial (IND) on +/- 1,261 acres.
State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on September 2, 2026. This is the transmittal hearing to the Florida Department of Commerce, and the adoption hearing is scheduled for December 15, 2026, at 9:15 a.m.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board set for the first reading on October 6, 2026, at 9:15 a.m., and the adoption hearing date on December 15, 2026, at 9:15 a.m.
