SUMMARY
The Polk Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) issued Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 25-686 seeking qualified general planning consulting firms to support the I-4 Intermodal Passenger Rail Station Feasibility & Planning Study. The procurement process has been completed in accordance with established procedures, and the Selection Committee has finalized its ranking of the responding firms.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
The Board is requested to approve the list and ranking of the consulting firms recommended by the Selection Committee and to authorize staff to negotiate a contract with the top ranked firm. Should negotiations fail with HDR Engineering, Inc., negotiations will be terminated, and staff will begin negotiations with the 2nd highest-ranked Proposer, Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. Should negotiations fail with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., negotiations will be terminated, and staff will begin negotiations with the 3rd highest-ranked Proposer, Stantec Consulting, Inc. Should negotiations fail with Stantec Consulting, Inc., negotiations will be terminated, and staff will begin negotiations with the 4th highest-ranked Proposer, Michael Baker International, Inc.
