DESCRIPTION
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is requesting an amendment to the Standard Grant Agreement Number LPR0020 to align with the project completion date. The schedule amendment will extend the expiration date to January 31, 2028. Through the Department’s Land Application Reduction Program, the grant agreement provides reimbursement for costs up to $2,938,125 for the design, permitting, and construction of Polk County Septage Receiving Station. The new facility will allow haulers to discharge septage at a county operated treatment facility as opposed to land application.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve Amendment No. 2 for the Standard Grant Agreement Number LPR0020 between the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Polk County for the Polk County Septage Receiving Stations Project for a time extension and a revised date of expiration of January 31, 2028.
