DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the NERUSA Water Use Permit (WUP) issued by the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD), implementation of the approved EMP is necessary for continued compliance with the NERUSA WUP. The recently approved EMP involves monitoring one additional wetland located near the future Alternative Water Supply Facility site, for a total of 11 wetland sites within the NERUSA. Services provided under this CSA will support the continuation of wetland monitoring activities, including the compilation of necessary reporting to meet the requirements of the NERUSA WUP.
RECOMMENDATION
Request approval of CSA 2024-011-09, with Dewberry Engineers Inc for implementation of the NERUSA EMP Wetland Monitoring (2025-2026) project at a not-to-exceed, one-time expense of $117,883.86.
FISCAL IMPACT
Operating funds are budgeted and available in the Utilities Environmental Affairs Operating Budget.
