DESCRIPTION
The Crosswinds Community Development District (CDD) was approved by the Board on January 5, 2022, under ORD 2022-051. It contains a total of 3,090 residential units within 752.59 acres located East of U.S. Highway 17/92, north of Johnson Avenue (CR 580), east and west of Power Line Road, east of the City of Davenport, north, east, and including Haines City, in Sections 11, 14, 22, 23 and 24, Township 27, Range 27. Exhibit A of Ordinance No. 22-001 contained a scrivener’s error in the metes and bounds description of the external boundaries of the CDD. There was an error in the calculation of the acreage within the metes and bounds description. The CDD actually encompasses approximately 794 acres of land.
Section 190.046, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt an ordinance enacting Community Development Districts within its jurisdiction. A public hearing is required to amend an ordinance.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board set hearing for adoption on January 23, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. following the regular agenda.
