DESCRIPTION
Polk County received funding from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for the construction and purchase of two (2) pavilions with fencing and picnic tables to be installed within the Bone Valley ATV Park. The funding included $240,000 in grant funds with a required match of $60,000 from the Leisure Services MSTU Fund for a total of $300,000. A transfer from reserves from the Special Revenue Grant Fund is required to establish budget for this project.
The Bone Valley ATV Park is a project within the Parks and Natural Resources Community Investment Program and therefore a CIP amendment is necessary to increase the project by $300,000 and add this funding source to the project.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve a transfer from the FY 25/26 Special Revenue Grant Fund reserves in the amount of $300,000.
Request Board approve a CIP amendment for the 2026-2030 CIP to increase the Bone Valley ATV project by $300,000 from the Special Revenue Grant Funding.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available within the Special Revenue Grant Fund Reserve for Contingency and within the Leisure Services MSTU Fund to provide the required match.
