Approve State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Annual Report (AR) for FY 2023-2024 Closeout Year. (No fiscal impact)

DESCRIPTION
The State of Florida signed the William E. Sadowski Affordable Housing Act on July 7, 1992, creating the SHIP program. The Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC) has administrative authority over the SHIP program. The Act requires each county to submit to the FHFC an Annual Report of its affordable housing programs and accomplishments from July 1 through June 30th. The AR is due by September 15th of each year and must be certified as accurate and complete by the local government’s chief elected official or their designee. The FHFC requires the local government's chief elected official or their designee to certify that the regulatory reform activities have been implemented.
RECOMMENDATION
Recommend the Board approve the SHIP AR for fiscal year 2023-2024 as well as the Local Housing Incentives Certification Form. Also, recommend the Board to direct the Housing and Neighborhood Development office to transmit the AR and certifications to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC).
