DESCRIPTION
Tobias, LLC has the exclusive rights to produce a film/television series based on the book, “A Land Remembered”. Tobias, LLC is planning to film significant portions of the project in Polk County that will bring economic impact from the cast, crew and associated film officials that are part of the project. As part of the partnership, the county, through PCTSM, will receive marketing and promotional assets, including the permanent homestead structure that can be used as a tourist attraction after filming is complete.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve sponsorship investment of $250,000 that will enable the recruitment and completion of principle filming in Polk County. This funding was approved by the TDC Board at their meeting on April 22, 2026.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the Tourism Tax Fund.
