DESCRIPTION
The City of Auburndale is in the process of resurfacing an intersection in the vicinity of both the City of Auburndale and Polk County. During the City of Auburndale’s process of looking at this intersection, they approached County staff with an opportunity to address the resurfacing of their portion of the intersection improvement which intersects the City of Auburndale’s Adams Road. County staff evaluated this opportunity and determined that it was in the best interest of the County to enter into an Agreement for the City of Auburndale to resurface Polk County’s road at the same time the City of Auburndale’s road is being resurfaced. The City of Auburndale has approved and executed the Interlocal Agreement for the County Road 559 at Adams Road intersection improvements project, and it is now being presented to the County for review and approval/signature.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve Interlocal Agreement between Polk County and the City of Auburndale for Road Improvements for County Road 559 at Adams Road intersection improvements project.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the Transportation Millage Fund in the Pavement Management CIP Program.
