DESCRIPTION

This is a County-initiated request for a LDC text amendment to Chapter 7, Section 702.G, Reclaimed Reuse Systems and Section 932.B, (Waiver) Authority, to enable development to use specified alternative irrigation systems to County reclaimed water connection. State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on February 1, 2023, with a recommendation of approval (7:0).

Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan.  Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted. This is the first of the two hearings
