body
DESCRIPTION
The Polk Regional Water Cooperative ("PRWC") has a project to address future water supply needs within Polk County. The project, known as the Southeast Wellfield and Water Production Facility Project, consists of the construction of a potable water facility, multiple supply wells and a regional transmission system. The transmission system is proposed to connect to various potable water receiving facilities which are being constructed by the County to receive the alternative water supply from PRWC into the County's regional systems. The transmission system is currently under construction and PRWC has requested easements over two of the receiving station sites for the installation and future maintenance of its facilities, up to and including the meter assemblies and associated appurtenances, associated with the stations. One of the receiving stations is located along the south side of Masterpiece Road at its intersection with Timber Lane Road in the Lake Wales area which will service the East Regional Utility Service Area. The second receiving station is located at the northwest corner of Richardson Road and Radford Road in the Bartow area which will service the Central Regional Utility Service Area. PRWC has prepared legal descriptions for utility easements for its proposed facilities along with ingress/egress easements for future maintenance access over the facilities driveways. Authorizing the Utility and Access Easements to PRWC will give it the easements needed over the sites for its project and for future maintenance of its facilities.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board authorize the above-mentioned Utility and Access Easements to the Polk Regional Water Cooperative.
FISCAL IMPACT
