DESCRIPTION
The Facilities Management Division requested Procurement to solicit bids from qualified contractors who were interested in the construction and installation of two batting cages and a 2,000-sf metal storage building at the Northeast Regional Park located at 50901 US HWY 27, Davenport, FL 33897. The storage building will be used to store portable pitcher’s mounds, temporary fencing, and field grooming equipment for the baseball complex. The batting cages will support the annual Russ Matt Baseball Tournament as well league play and other tournaments.
Bid 23-486, Northeast Regional Park - Batting Cages & Storage Building was issued, and 3 contractors submitted bids. The first low bidder withdrew their bid prior to award.

A recommendation of award was issued to SEMCO Construction, Inc. and no protests were received. In accordance with Resolution No. 13-066, $27,073.00 was added to the contract for allowance work for a total contract amount of $568,543.00. The contract time for this project is 120 days for the Substantial Completion and 150 days for Final Completion. Allowance time for the project is 22 days.

FISCAL IMPACT
