Approve a cover letter acknowledging the building official’s letter to Mr. James Abercrombie addressing the reasons for the denial of Mr. Abercrombie’s re-roof permit (BT-2022-1395).

DESCRIPTION
In 2022 a re-roof permit was granted for the re-roof of 2737 Gibsonia-Galloway Road Lakeland, FL 33810 and the roof was installed. Subsequent inspections, completed as part of the permit process, determined that the roofing materials used for the re-roof were not compatible with the structure’s roof pitch. As a result, the re-roof inspection was failed, and the permit was eventually locked. Mr. Abercrombie recently requested that staff review the matter and provide a letter addressing the issues. The building official, having reviewed the matter, created the attached letter and exhibits.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve a cover letter acknowledging the building official’s determination regarding the re-roof permit.
