Accept Special Warranty Deed from BB Wetlands, LLC for property being donated for wetland preservation and storm water protection. (No fiscal impact)

DESCRIPTION
The owner of three parcels of land, containing a total of approximately 34-acres, contacted the County and offered to donate the properties to the County. The properties are irregularly shaped, contiguous parcels located along, and the north of, Old Bartow/Lake Wales Road to the east of its intersection with CR 653 in the Winter Haven area. The owner is the developer of a residential subdivision adjacent to the parcels and is offering to donate the properties as they are not needed for its surrounding development. The properties contain a portion of the Peace Creek along with wetlands adjacent to and associated therewith. Ownership of the properties would allow for the preservation of the creek, associated wetlands and storm water protection along with the potential to enhance water quality associated with the creek and the lakes to which it outfalls. Accepting the Special Warranty Deed from BB Wetlands, LLC will allow the County to take ownership of the properties to be utilized for wetland preservation and storm water protection purposes.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board accept the above-mentioned Special Warranty Deed.
