DESCRIPTION

The County provides potable water, wastewater, and reclaimed water utility services to the Northeast Regional Utility Service Area (NERUSA).  The NERUSA Master Plan, completed in 2023, identified the FDC Grove Road Reclaimed Water Main Loop project to meet customer demands for with reclaimed water.  This project consists of approximately 6,400 linear feet of 12-inch reclaimed water main from the Northeast Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility, along FDC Grove Road, to Minute Maid Ramp Road No. 2, and it will provide for additional capacity and reliability in the referenced road corridors.    This Consultant Services Authorization includes project management, support services, final design, permitting, bid, and construction phase services.  The County has requested that the Consultant provide these engineering services in support of the project.

 

RECOMMENDATION

Request Board approve Consultant Services Authorization (CSA) (2024-017-01) with Rummel, Klepper, and Kahl, LLP for FDC Grove Road Reclaimed Water Main Loop Project at a cost not to exceed $213,750.00.

 

FISCAL IMPACT

Connection fee funding is available in the Utilities five-year Expansion Community Investment Program budget.
